Justice League debuted in a wide range of cinemas worldwide on Friday, and with a production budget of around $300 million (when accounting for reshoots), the movie needed to make a big splash during its first weekend. However, it did not.
In North America, the movie grossed $96 million, which according to Box Office Mojo is $14 million below projections.
Internationally, Justice League added $185 million, which is a total weekend haul of $281.5 million. In North America, Justice League is the lowest debut of any DCU film, and it'll be a stretch to pull in an additional $500-600 million required before it can be considered a success by the studios involved.
