If you've been playing Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, you may have seen that on the main menu there's a countdown for something called Vault Unlock, which is ticking down to November 7.
What is this for, though? Well, GameInformer reached out to Bethesda to ask whether this was counting down to the first DLC. While that mystery was cleared up, the answer being a yes, another mystery was added, as the representative said: "There are a few extra surprises behind the vault door when the timer reaches 0."
The first DLC is called The Freedom Chronicles, and here's an official description of the DLC, courtesy of Bethesda:
"Of course, every great revolution has to start somewhere. And when it comes to the heroes of The Freedom Chronicles, it all begins in Episode Zero. Episode Zero introduces you to Joseph Stallion, Jessica Valiant and Gerald Wilkins as they fight for freedom in the American Territories. Blast your way through Nazis using unique abilities and an arsenal of guns in this opening DLC mission."
What else could be behind this countdown is still a mystery though. What would you like it to be?
"When taken individually each one might feel a little underwhelming, but considered together the Freedom Chronicles feel surprisingly cohesive."
"It's a blast in every sense of the word, and as far as we're concerned it's the best shooter of the year (so far)."
Game Pass has expanded with a number of big games, all of which are landing over the next few weeks.
"We all have to see how that ends."
The game has just landed on Nintendo's console.
Including the opening of BJ Blazkowicz's journey.
Panic Button has done a lot of work on the technical side of things.
A new SD may be in order.
