The Surge gets free weapons DLC

Deck 13's The Surge saw release back in May on PC, PS4, and Xbox One and the Souls-like sci-fi action-RPG was met with generally positive reviews (here's our review). Today, a new free DLC called Fire & Ice Weapon Pack has been added on all platforms featuring 5 fire and 5 ice weapons that you'll need to seek out in-game by following clues.

If you haven't picked up The Surge yet now is a good time to do so on Steam as the game enjoys 50% off during Steam's Midweek Madness (runs until October 13).

Publisher Focus Home Interactive also reaffirmed plans to release an expansion called "A Walk in the Park" before the end of the year. The paid expansion will take place in an abandoned Amusement Park and will add new enemies and weapons to the mix. Alongside the paid expansion there will also be a free update that focuses on improving the end-game experience.
