There is reason to be concerned about the state of Lawbreakers. As Steamcharts reveals, the game is not doing great on Steam in spite of positive reviews (including our own).
After the weekend, less than 450 players populated the servers simultaneously. It is true that Lawbreakers never reached critical mass and it launched bare boned, but after three weeks of full release in PC and PS4, it is losing players day by day. The game peaked at 3,000 concurrent players on Steam during the first weekend of full release, far from the 7,500 concurrent players during the beta tests.
These are hard days for shooters. Competing against PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Overwatch, plus established AAA franchises is not an easy task. Could Boss Key Productions turn things around? Nothing is impossible, but it is looking dire.
Thanks, Nirolak.
