Nexon, Respawn Entertainment, and Particle City have released mobile game Titanfall Assault onto Android and iOS, a strategy game set within the Titanfall universe which requires players to use a deck of virtual cards to destroy enemies.

As a Commander, you'll need to assemble a squad of pilots and titans, as well as these burn cards, and in the RTS gameplay titans will hold lanes while pilots use their fluid movement to navigate around. There are a number of maps, and in these you must take control of key points, or simply defeat the enemy base.

"When we set out to create Titanfall we wanted as many gamers as possible to have a chance to explore and experience this deep, action-packed universe," said Vince Zampella, CEO and co-founder of Respawn. "Today, we're one step closer to that vision with the launch of Titanfall: Assault which brings a fast, fun and strategic head-to-head multiplayer experience to the millions of mobile gamers worldwide."

"Titanfall: Assault combines the iconic fluid action of Titanfall with a competitive RTS experience to bring the series in an exciting new direction," added Larry Pacey, co-founder, Particle City. "With its tale of interplanetary conflict and massive mechs battling for the upper hand, the Titanfall universe has all of the ingredients for the type of real-time strategy games we love to play."

Does this breed of RTS lend itself well to mobile?
