During the weekend Splatoon 2's Splatfest took place, inviting playerd to test the online experience of the colourful sequel on their Nintendo Switch just in time for the release later this week. Many players had quite some fun in the test environment, although there were some reports of server and connection issues.

One user shared an image on Twitter showing the message Nintendo sent to people (intentionally or not) repeatedly leaving matches early. The message reads:

"Your previous online play session didn't end naturally, which is PREEEEETTY suspicious. If this keeps happening, we're gonna have to block you from playing online for a while. Make sure your internet isn't busted and try again."

Further details about what restrictions leavers and rage quitters may have to await haven't been given by Nintendo right now, but from the sounds of this message you'd better make sure your connection works fine when playing online.

"Each mission with Agent 8 is better than any solo Splatoon content we've seen before, not only in terms of design and creativity but also in terms of difficulty."

"We had a lot of fun with our time in the game, although returning players will have to weigh up for themselves whether there's enough to warrant the upgrade."
