Which is the best Final Fantasy ever made? Many people would say Final Fantasy VII, as it's the one that changed everything. Others might opt for more modern entries in the series, because of the visual quality they offer and the depth they boast. There is no right answer, however, and anyone can rightly highlight their own favourite. Having said that, there is one pick that carries more weight than nearly all others.
Hironobu Sakaguchi, one of the minds behind the series from its humble origins, has weighed in on the matter. Talking to voice actor and YouTuber ProZD, he said that his favourite entry above all others is Final Fantasy IX. Sakaguchi acted as the producer and designer for that one, but not as the director.
It's just a short answer, though, and he didn't elaborate on why he likes it so much, but it was enough to restart the debate among fans once more. So we'll ask you again: which is the best Final Fantasy game ever made? Let us know in the comments below.
