We were once again given the opportunity to speak with PES captain Adam Bhatti at the Nou Camp in Barcelona during the first European presentation of PES 2018. He was previously very talkative when we spoke to him during E3, and this time he went further, saying that PES 2018 will be better than its main competitor this year, because according to him, FIFA is resting on its laurels:

"As always, FIFA 18 seems very similar to last year's edition. They probably didn't feel the need or didn't want to make the changes. I think they are quite comfortable and that is always giving us a great chance because it allows us to innovate, change things and actually create an alternative. You know, having people playing the same thing every year, we need to make sure that we give them a good option, and we think it's actually a better option."

"Is PES going to be better this year? I think it has been the case since PES 15 in terms of gameplay. PES 6 was the best, and then it went through some bad years before we brought it back. So I think from PES 15 it's been good, but this is the first year we really worked the animation, the visuals and the game modes as well."

PES 2018 will be available from September 14 on PC, PS3, PS4, X360 and Xbox One. Pre-ordering the game will allow you to add a certain Usain Bolt to myClub.

Do you think Adam Bhatti is too bold in saying that PES is already better than FIFA? To get an idea as to what the game will be like, feel free to check out our preview from E3.
