Blizzard is releasing Starcraft: Remastered this summer and it will be great for old-school strategy fans who want to experience their old favourite on a modern PC. But after the game has landed, what are the chances for additional remasters? Quite high, as it turns out. Blizzard seems to be looking for developers that will apparently be working on older titles such as Diablo II and Warcraft III:

"Compelling stories. Intense multiplayer. Endless replayability. Qualities that made StarCraft, Warcraft III, and Diablo II the titans of their day. Evolving operating systems, hardware, and online services have made them more difficult to be experienced by their loyal followers or reaching a new generation.

"We're restoring them to glory, and we need your engineering talents, your passion, and your ability to get tough jobs done."

More interestingly, one of the responsibilities associated with the role is maintaining "infrastructure for the Diablo franchise". So Diablo II: Remastered definitely looks like it could be a thing someday. We'll keep you updated on this.

If you want to make your dream come true and go work for Blizzard and restore the games yourself, you can head here to apply. Best of luck.

Would you buy a remaster of one of the titles of yesteryear, or would you prefer Blizzard to focus its efforts elsewhere? Let us know what you think in the comments.
