It seems as though Spider-Man might not be as silky smooth as some people surely are hoping for after Insomniac Games revealed that the framerate will be 30 FPS. And this includes the PlayStation 4 Pro version, which can, on the other hand, run the game in 4K (although it's unclear if it's upscaled somehow).

This was revealed in a response to a curious fan on Twitter, where they also said it will be possible to run the game in 1080p with a "supersampled image that should look very nice" but that will still run at 30 FPS.

Insomnia does point out that the framerate will be very stable though, so hopefully it won't be fluctuating too much: "we hold a solid 30 FPS in our games, Ratchet is a great example," they wrote.

Do you think a very agile and speedy superhero such as Spider-Man would have benefitted more from 60 frames-per-second gameplay over the crispness of 4K resolution?

"The Heist is not a particularly impressive or memorable expansion, but it's fun and it comes with some interesting moments."
