The other day we got the first teaser via the video below, but now it's more of a reality: the Ataribox is based on PC architecture and its development actually started years ago.
As Atari CEO Fred Chesnais told VentureBeat, the company is "back in the hardware business", with the site speculating that the new machine may well be inspired by the success of last year's NES Mini.
According to the site, Atari is yet to finalise the design of the Ataribox, so retro fans still have some time to wait before further details are released.
