Blizzard has provided some more details on the seasons coming to console versions of Diablo III, which will go live on March 31 at 12AM GMT.

Season 10 will kick off on PC at this time, and for those who don't know, Seasons allow players to complete challenges in a specific time period, as well as making a Seasonal character for the occasion. In return, you get a six-piece set at the end of it all, and items to go with it.

"The Season Journey is a unique series of challenges available only to Seasonal characters," Blizzard explains. "By completing chapters in the Season Journey, you can unlock exclusive Season-only cosmetic rewards. You can view your progress in the Season Journey at any time on your Seasonal characters by pressing left on the D-pad in the game, or on the main screen through the menu."

Conquests are also introduced too. "In Seasons, we've taken the concept of Challenges to the next level by introducing Conquests—difficult tasks that can only be completed by a Seasonal hero. Completing Conquests is an important part of the highest tiers of the Season Journey, and earns you points toward your Seasonal Challenge point total." There will also be seasonal leaderboards as well.

Are Seasons something you console players have been waiting for?
