One particular aspect that game developers seem reluctant to reveal is the length of their games. It's tricky to strike the right balance and oftentimes games are criticised for not providing enough hours of entertainment.

Arkane Austin ain't having any of that, though, because in an interview with Twinfinite, lead designer Ricardo Bare has revealed that the game will take between 16 and 22 hours to beat, this according to tests. Although it's worth noting that of course this time will vary widely depending on your play-style.

Here's what Bare told the site: "With all the games like this that we work on, the amount of time varies widely depending on the style of the player. But we've done a lot of playtests with people, and typically play times clock in around 16 to 22, 20 hours."

If true it sounds like it'll be about the same length as Arkane's last game, the superlative Dishonored 2. Is that going to be enough for you?
