Here's some new screenshots from Sea of Thieves

There have been some worries amongst gamers as to whether Rare - once known as a Brittish powerhouse of graphics and quirky gameplay - still has it after a long, long period of somewhat bland games. But Sea of Thieves, the studio's biggest ever project, is supposed to be their return to former glory.

Fortunately, judging by the screenshots released yesterday as part of their new Downloadable Fan Pack, Rare looks like it still delivers, at least visually. We still don't have a whole lot to tell you about the game, like if it will get extra Xbox Scorpio support, but these pictures (all taken from the recent Alpha test) speak for themselves. Make sure to enlarge each to see them in all their glory.

The Downloadable Fan Pack also includes avatars, music samples, desktop/mobile wallpapers, trailers, and more. Are the visuals the selling point on this pirate-themed title, or are you more concerned about the swashbuckling action?
