Although Nintendo held an important conference entirely dedicated to its new hybrid console, Switch, on January 13, there are still many questions that need an answer, such as those in regards to the accessories and functions that we will find on the platform. In particular, one of the features that's attracting attention most is the novelty for Nintendo consoles, such as voice chat, which, as pointed out recently by the President of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime, will be managed through a dedicated app on smartphones.

But as reported by GoNintendo, on GameStop's Switch page, a mysterious headset (priced at $39.99 US dollars) appeared, and it seems it will be supported by Nintendo console, as you can read in the description below:

Rumour: Gamestop listed a headset for Nintendo Switch

"Experience your favorite games without boundaries and stay connected to friends during exciting adventures with the Afterglow LVL 3 Gaming Stereo Headset for Nintendo Switch. Block out distractions with the flexible boom and noise-canceling microphone and adjust volume with the easily accessible in-line controls. Plug in your headset to your system, marvel at the crystal clear sound design brought to you through powerful 40mm Neodymium drivers, and bring the full Nintendo Switch gaming experience to life."

And here are the features:

"Designed for the Nintendo Switch system
Powerful 40mm Neodymium drivers for incredible audio
Flexible boom and noise-canceling microphone
Sleek comfortable ear cup design
Easy-to-access in-line chat volume and mute controls."

This obviously raised some legitimate questions: will we have to connect this headset to our smartphones to chat, or will we simply connect the headset directly to the Switch? Let's see what Nintendo will confirm in the future, but for now we know that Nintendo Switch will be available starting from March 3, and right now this is the lineup confirmed the launch. For our hands-on impressions, you can also go here. Would you like to see voice chat be made more conventional via a headset? Or do you like the idea of a smartphone app?
