Grasshopper Manufacture's Goichi "Suda51" Suda made a surprise appearance during the Nintendo Switch presentation. After taking the stage he announced that Travis Touchdown is making his long-awaited return to the Nintendo platform in a brand-new No More Heroes game for Switch.

As the project is still in the early stages of development, he didn't have anything to show in the way of gameplay footage. He did however compliment the Switch as a platform for creators. There was also one piece of artwork for the new game shown off.

No More Heroes was originally released on the Wii back in 2008. The hack and slash game was revered for its unique sense of style, humour, gameplay and story. Taking into account its striking visuals, initiative use of motion controls, and distinct soundtrack, it quickly became one of the console's most prolific third-party titles. The sequel, released in 2010, only improved upon these areas and fans have been pining for a return to the series ever since.
