EA Chief Financial officer (CFO) Blake Jorgensen confirmed during an investor call that Star Wars Battlefront II, the sequel to Star Wars Battlefront, is hitting shelves "a year from now".
That would mean a release ahead of the next holiday season, potentially in line with Episode VIII hitting cinemas. Jorgensen said that "we're working very hard on making sure that is an extremely deep and engaging offering". EA has already revealed that it would land somewhere between April and December 2017, but now it's been narrowed down further. There are several Star Wars games in the works at various EA studios like Bioware and Visceral Games as well as their independent partner Respawn Entertainment.
