Mark Cerny doesn't think Scorpio can hit native 4K in all games

He estimates the console would need at least 8 teraflops.

A lot of claims have come out about the Project Scorpio, such as that it is an improved version of Xbox One with four times the digital horse power and almost 50% more than PlayStation 4 Pro. Still, this might not be enough for true 4K graphics graphics natively in all games, if the PlayStation 4 (and Pro) architect Mark Cerny is to be believed.

In an interview, Cerny says his personal estimate of what it would take to do native 4K across the board is a minimum of 8 teraflops. According to Microsoft, Xbox Scorpio has 6 teraflops of computing power (PlayStation 4 Pro has 4.2 teraflops), so it remains to see who will get this right in the end.

Are you planning on getting either Playstation 4 Pro or Xbox Scorpio, and how important is native 4K graphics on your behalf?
