Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons

Starbreeze unveils Josef Fares project.

It has been known for a while that Swedish developers Starbreeze Studios (The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, Syndicate, The Darkness), have been working with Swedish film director and video game enthusiast Josef Fares (Kopps, Jalla! Jalla!) on his game concept, previously known as Brothers and P13.

Today comes the official announcement of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, which is set for release on PC, PSN and XBLA in spring 2013 with 505 Games on publishing duties.

"When I first visualised Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons I knew I wanted to combine the deep, engrossing storyline of a film with the physical experience of a video game, allowing players to emotionally connect with the characters as they trek across sweeping, interactive environments such as peaceful vistas, foreboding forests and dangerous mountainsides," said Fares. "I chose to partner with Starbreeze and 505 Games to make my vision a reality and am confident that together we are creating an amazing and unique experience for gamers."
