Ubisoft has released Rayman: Jungle Run a day early on iOS - it's available now on the App Store for £1.99. The Android version should be out tomorrow.

The game, which will run on iPhone, iPad and iTouch, is developed by Pasta Games in collaboration with Ubisoft Montpellier, and uses a stripped down version of the UbiArt framework engine to power it.

It's a different take than Origins, with automatic running enabled, allowing you to focus on getting your jumping (and hovering, and punching) timed just right.

We're preparing our review now, and it'll be on the site tomorrow. Until then, have a read of our recent hands-on at the Ubisoft Digital Days event.

"I hand the game over to a colleague. His face soon contorts to that expression of someone close to a one-way ticket to the nearest anger management clinic."

"The origins of any game can be traced back to a single moment. In the case of Jungle Run, it was a chance meeting between mutual friends over lunch."
