The Game Awards have been and gone, PlayStation Experience 2017 has been and gone, and across both events we haven't seen a single new screenshot or trailer for The Last of Us: Part II.

Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann and co-writer Halley Gross did, however, take to the stage during PSX to talk about the game's story and also discuss the new characters introduced in the last trailer, which landed during Paris Games Week and caused quite a stir.

Druckmann said that development on the much-anticipated sequel is about 50 or 60% complete, so there is still a long way to go before we revisit Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic world. Druckmann did, however, promise that TLoU 2 will be at E3 2018, so we can probably expect to see the first full gameplay trailer or demo shown then.

Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker were also in attendance to talk about their characters, Ellie and Joel, and also to sing the main song from the OST. They also welcomed Ian Alexander, Victoria Grace, and Laura Bailey, who play Lev, Yara and the other woman in the trailer respectively. You can see the full panel here, and the PGW trailer discussed therein is attached below in case you missed it the first time around.
