A group of players on Guild Wars 2 are holding a virtual pride march this month in support of members of the LGBT+ community.

Announced via reddit Pride March Tyria will take place on June 26 at 5pm PST. It will start at the centre of Ebonhawk, lasting two and a half hours before finishing at the steps of Rata Sum.

The Reddit post said that "we march primarily to show our support for gender and sexual minority players, some of which have found Guild Wars 2 to be one of a few safe places to simply be themselves and get away from the drama and the politics of the outside world".

It said that "we want this message of support to reach as many as possible regardless of personal time constraints" as well.

Also included in the post is a timing sheet so players unable to make the whole event can work out where the march will be when they log on.

Part of the reason for the march is that June is LGBT Pride Month. Even players outside of North America are discussing potential marches in European time zones.
