One-man development team Marauder Interactive has been chipping away at the gorgeous looking space combat sim Enemy Starfighter since at least 2013. And there were big news about the game this past weekend.

First of all, the game is no longer called Enemy Starfighter. Instead, it's now dubbed House of the Dying Sun. In a blog post on the game's website, developer Mike Tipul writes that the change is mainly due to the new name having better trademark possibilites, and says the renaming has been entirely drama free.

Second, the game is heading to Early Access on Steam, and will arrive there at some point in June - meaning the game is, at the most, one month away. There's also an amazing-looking trailer out to celebrate that fact, which you can see right here.

In case you don't know, House of the Dying Sun is a space combat sim heavily inspired by golden age greats of the genre, like Tie Fighter and Descent: Freespace. The game features a 14 mission singleplayer campaign with handcrafted, multiple objective missions. The game supports both regular monitors alongside Oculus Rift and HTC Vive VR headsets, and can be played with either keyboard and mouse or Xbox controllers.

Here's a stack of screenshots showing off the goodies.
