The annual London film festival, SCI-FI-LONDON, will this year be sponsored by the upcoming strategy game Master of Orion. The game was originally released in 1993, and was one of the first 4X (eXplore, eXploit, eXpand, eXterminate) strategy games, a real classic then.

The remake of the original game was released on Steam Early Access last month, and thus publisher Wargaming has decided to sponsor the film festival.

"SCI-FI-LONDON is a unique opportunity for us to present Master of Orion to an audience who share our passion," said Wargaming's Keith Anderson.. "A game which invented the pillars of all 4X games, attendees will be able to discover a legend born 25 years ago, redesigned with all the power of today's technology. We are really delighted and excited to participate at SCI-FI-LONDON."

Master of Orion is available for PC on Steam and GOG. You can read more about it here.
