Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak announced, releases in January

At long last there's a new Homeworld inbound.

Developer Blackbird Interactive and publisher Gearbox Software has just announced Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, which serves as a prequel to the popular first two chapters of the iconic RTS series.

The game lets you assemble massive armies consisting of both land, sear and air units on the massive sandy battlefield of Kharak, where you can both play the origin story of character Rachel S'jet, as well as against other players in multiplayer battles.

The game has received an announcement trailer which you can see below, as well as a release date, and luckily you won't have to wait long, as the game already releases on January 20th on PC.
