UK-based video game retailers have spoken about the year that was, as well as venturing some thoughts regarding their expectations for 2016. The findings of the new survey were revealed over on trade website MCV, who spoke to a number of retailers both large and small. The results make for interesting reading.
UK stores predicted another strong year for PlayStation 4, with an overwhelming majority predicting it will be console king once again in 2016. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is the game that they're most looking forward to next year (Ubisoft's The Division was second place, Dark Souls III in third).
Retailers also have mixed feelings about VR, with more than half of them predicting that the tech will fail next year.
Looking back, Fallout 4 was rated as being the most successful game of this year, and publisher Bethesda was voted as the second most supportive publisher behind Microsoft (who once again proved helpful to retailers, especially the more mainstream ones).
