New teaser footage of Star Citizen's single-player campaign 'Squadron 42' has been released on the official Star Citizen YouTube page, and it features renowned Star Wars actor Mark Hamill. Last month the full cast list for Squadron 42 was announced, the list boasted well-known actors and actresses such as Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight Trilogy), Mark Strong (Kingsman: The Secret Service) and Gillian Anderson (The X-Files). Among the list was Mark Hamill, but not much was known about his role until yesterday's teaser.

Hamill will take on the role of Lieutenant Commander Steve 'Old Man' Colton, however aside from the name, not much is known about the character and how he will fit into the story. This is of course is not Hamill's first role within the gaming industry, famously portraying the Joker in Rocksteady's Arkham games and Master Eraqus in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. This also isn't Mark Hamill's first time working with Star Citizen director Chris Roberts, as Hamill was part of the Wing Commander series, one of Roberts' earlier projects.

Star Citizen doesn't yet have a set release date, but the Squadron 42 mode has been confirmed for release in 2016.
