Trackmania Turbo embraces Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR

Ubisoft has waited until after Paris Games Week to announce that Nadeo's upcoming Trackmania Turbo will be compatible with two different VR headsets - Oculus Rift on PC and PlayStation VR on PS4 - when these devices arrive in the market in the first half of 2016. The game itself will be launched before then, sometime early next year.

The publisher claims that the virtual reality technology allows players "to immerse themselves deeper into the game when racing along the mesmerising Trackmania tracks", and assures us that every game mode and track will be VR-ready. No technical details such as frame-rates or resolution have been announced as yet.

The Trackmania series is both a fast-paced, loop-filled arcade racer and, more so, a track editor backed by an invested community. This is how dizzy it looks even without VR:
