Bohemia's Brian Hicks last night revealed that DayZ is set to get a single-player offline mode, something that'll allow players to survive the zombie apocalypse alone should they so wish. The offline mode will also allow modders more freedom to experiment with their creations away from public servers.
Hicks then confirmed that, on top of the typical updates heading to the survival sim, players will soon be able to host their own servers - apparently a much-requested feature. No dates where offered for either of the new features.
Earlier in the week it was also announced that DayZ is taking part in the Game Preview program on Xbox One, where players are able to try early access games on the platform before they commit to buying them.
