Swedish indie outfit announces Rain of Reflections

Victor Lionhead (Leijonhufvud to those with good knowledge in Swedish games media) founded his own indie studio in Stockholm last year and today their first project - cyberpunk noir role-playing game Rain of Reflections was unveiled. The game will offer three protagonists, two female, one male - and paints a bleak rainy future lit up by lots of neon signs.

"Rain of Reflections finds strengths in limitations. Lionbite Games wants to break RPG conventions by avoiding typical genre mechanics to focus on the very essence. The game will constantly move forward, without fillers, repetitive battles or monotonous grinding."

"The battle system is deeply connected to the story and centered around a unique morale mechanic, allowing the player to use environments, ruse tactics, threats and even smart dialogue choices to handle confrontations without resorting to mindlessly blowing enemies to pieces."

The game is currently in development for PC using the Unity Engine, additional console versions are "considered for a later release".
