Just before Gamescom has even got going Square Enix has revealed a brand new title for PC and consoles. The game is called Life is Strange and it's being developed by the French studio Dontnod, the team that was behind Remember Me in 2013.

Life is Strange is set to be an episodic game and is heading on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, however the launch date has not yet been announced.

According to the press release, the game "takes place in the fictional town of Arcadia Bay, Oregon, where senior student Max Caulfield returns after a 5 year absence. Reunited with her former friend Chloe, the pair will attempt to uncover the uncomfortable truth behind the mysterious disappearance of fellow student Rachel Amber."

"At the end of a very turbulent week in Arcadia Bay we have to say that this is a game that anyone who appreciates this sort of episodic adventure owes it to themselves to try."
