Reviewer: Jesper Nielsen
Excerpt: "It is sweet, fun and full of colors, and while the basics haven't changed much since the original everyone with a sweet tooth will fall head over heels for these lovely creatures."

Excerpt:
"The cutesy looks may be too sweet for some, but it's hard to critizise Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise for anything else. It might not offer much more than the first game, but it's fun to watch, easy on the ears and won't bore you quickly. If you need a splash of sunny, joyful gaming in your dull, gray fall, Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise is an excellent choice."

Reviewer: Jon Cato Lorentzen
Excerpt:
"...the main game is still great entertainment. And if you have children it is a terrific game to play together with them. But a big negative is that the game isn't localised in Norwegian while the original had both Norwegian voices and text. For us gamers it won't matter much, but the game is near impossible to grasp for children who can't make sense of the long explanations of the elements in the game."

Reviewer: Sophie Warnie de Humelghem
Excerpt: "Eventhough Trouble in Paradise is at least as entertaining as its predecessor the game comes across as more of an expansion than a proper sequel. Sure Piñatavision is fun and I enjoy all the new candyfilled creatures, but in all honesty it doesn't feel good to have to pay full price for a title with this few new additions. Despite these concerns I'm a sucker for anything sweet, and I can't help but enjoy Rare's effort to make a sequel to a such a great original."
