We talked free-to-play with Ace Combat Infinity's lead producer, Kazutoki Kono, at this year's Level Up event in Berlin. We found out more about the aerial combat coming to PlayStation 3, and asked whether we'll be seeing the game on other platforms.

One of the first things we asked was when they were expecting to introduce the PvP mode alongside the competitive co-op mode already lined-up: "We can't definitely say when exactly we're going to put in the players versus player mode," Kono-san told us. "We want to make it a fact that after the beta testing we received a lot of feedback in that a lot of the users are actually asking for the player versus player. And we want to prove that we are actually answering to that feedback and putting in stuff as live ops."

Later in the interview, we asked whether the game might make it onto other PlayStation platforms, and the lead producer's answer was specifically regarding PS4: "We would love to look into it, but first seeing that, getting the support of a bigger fan base in Ace Combat Infinity we'll be able to prove that a lot of the fans, a lot of the people, are looking forward to the next Ace Combat. And they'll be happy to see a more beautiful version of Ace Combat on the next-gen, so we want to look forward to that after Ace Combat Infinity does well."

Bandai Namco has announced that Ace Combat Infinity is heading to European PlayStation 3's (via PSN) later this month, and will be available to download from May 28.
