New The Division 2 trailer coincide with upcoming open beta

Ubisoft has released a short live-action teaser for the upcoming shooter, setting the tone for the sequel that's due out next month.

On March 1st, players will be able to dive into The Division 2 via the upcoming open beta on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. To build hype for the beta and upcoming full release, Ubisoft has revealed yet another trailer for the third person shooter, which is to release fully on March 15th.

This is looking to be a strong first quarter for Ubisoft, as this will be their second big release following Far Cry: New Dawn. The spin-off Far Cry title was the best selling game in the UK in its launch week, despite selling far less than the previous spin-off, Far Cry Primal.

On PC at least, The Division 2's pre-order numbers are up from the first title, which could be surprising to some as Ubisoft are the next in a long line of publishers ditching Steam in favour of the Epic games store, or their own storefronts. It remains to be seen if the Division 2 will be able to sustain a healthy playerbase, as is the aim with these live service titles.

REVIEW. Written by Eirik Hyldbakk Furu

"A couple of faults don't detract from the fact that The Division 2 is one of, if not the, best looter-shooters in years."
