If there's one thing the Nintendo Switch has been missing it's a 2D Mario, and while we're not getting a brand new game at least we're getting something come January.
Among the many re-releases, ports, and remasters announced during last night's Nintendo Direct, one is of particular interest for fans of 2D platformers: New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. Originally released on Wii U, the title is the next in a long line of Wii U titles to make the trip over to Nintendo's latest hardware. The game will offer some extra bonuses compared to the original version, like the arrival of Nabbit and Toadette to add some variations in the gameplay.
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe will be available on Nintendo Switch on January 11th, 2019. Did you play it on Wii U or will this be a brand new experience for you?
