Neon Tail looks at first glance to be a mix of Jet Set Radio and Sunset Overdrive, throwing us into a world of rollerskating, and we actually spoke with creator Feili (via a translator) at TGS to learn more about this bright and bubbly game.

"It's an open-world rollerskating game where you roam around the city, and you can do many things like doing jobs, earning money, going shopping," he said. "And there's also another part where you... half of the game will be cross-dimensional invasions, and creatures will start to invade the city and you will have superpowers and stuff to fight them back."

"So it's a kind of crazy story behind it, and there's a lot of free-roaming activities in it also."

"The tricks give you reputation, so the world will react with you differently based on your reputation, and there's a lot of small details like this that will keep you playing while you also progress."

Is this an entertaining mix of ideas?
