NBA Playgrounds free Hot Update bring 33 new players
Plus there's a new game mode on the way.
Saber Interactive has announced the "Hot Update" for NBA Playgrounds, the arcade-style basketball game that launched earlier this year for Nintendo Switch and then on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game has already sold more than half a million copies across all platforms, the company said in a statement (albeit without any kind of breakdown).
The upcoming expansion will also add 33 real players from different eras. Modern and recent stars such as J.R. Smith, Chris Paul, Baron Davis and Tim Duncan line up alongside legends such as Jerry West and Elgin Baylor. However, Saber is also focusing on younger players by including YouTubers on the roster (with Agent 00 and Shake4ndBake, for example).
This free DLC introduces a new game mode, 3-Point Contest, and there is also a patch coming with a new Rebounding System, as well as the option to invite friends to join your online matches. The trailer below shows what's coming.
