N1RV ANN-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action is the sequel to Sukeban Games' VA-11 HALL-A, a unique mixture of bartending and visual novel, and we got to talk with writer and programmer Fernando Damas at TGS about the upcoming game, and what it's offering.

"It's a game where we explore a cyberpunk world through the eyes of the common people, instead of the heroes or the revolutionaries or whatever," he explained. "VA-11 HALL-A was originally focused on the poor side of the equation - the slums of the city, so to speak. N1RV ANN-A is focused on the flipside, on the rich side of the city and the people that make the lavish lifestyle of the rich people possible."

"Think about Blade Runner, but instead of being about Harrison Ford running around and shooting people, it's about the people that see him running around and shooting people, and they're just wondering what's up with that guy."

You can check out the full interview right here, but we actually got to play the game ourselves at the show, with some gameplay down below for you to see if you're interested in the concept.

Make sure to check out our review of VA-11 HALL-A from this year as well, which you can find this way.

Do you like this angle that Sukeban Games is going for?
