Movie based on The Witcher novels is in the works

Tomasz Baginski - the Oscar-nominated director and animator who also created the cinematic intros for The Witcher and The Witcher 2 - has confirmed that Platige Image, the studio of which he's creative director, is working on a movie based on Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher fantasy novels.

This movie isn't the first attempt to translate Geralt's adventures to the cinema. There's also a 2001 live-action Polish film based on Sapkowski's Witcher stories (called The Hexer), but that movie was such an epic fail that Sapkowski himself disowned it.

Talking about The Witcher, the third instalment in the series will land on PC, PS4 and Xbox One next week. You can read our review here, and check out the recently released cinematic trailer below.
