Tomasz Baginski - the Oscar-nominated director and animator who also created the cinematic intros for The Witcher and The Witcher 2 - has confirmed that Platige Image, the studio of which he's creative director, is working on a movie based on Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher fantasy novels.
This movie isn't the first attempt to translate Geralt's adventures to the cinema. There's also a 2001 live-action Polish film based on Sapkowski's Witcher stories (called The Hexer), but that movie was such an epic fail that Sapkowski himself disowned it.
