During the weekend, an official Mortal Kombat X controller has been revealed at a GameStop expo. It looks a lot like the Street Fighter controllers that were released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 a few years ago and has an 8-way micro-switched thumbstick (a clicky one, think Neo Geo Pocket Colour), six face buttons, two shoulder buttons, and asymmetric ergonomics. The menu buttons are along the top of controller.

No price has been announced and the design isn't finalised. But for anyone who wants to become a better Mortal Kombat fighter but doesn't want to spend a fortune on arcade sticks - it might actually be something worth looking out for when it is released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next year. Thanks Gaming Judgement.

REVIEW. Written by Ricardo C. Esteves

"This marks a confident step forward for the fighting genre, but one that doesn't forget its roots."
