Mortal Kombat film due for March 2021 release

Filming should start later this year in Australia, and we have two years to wait until the franchise returns to cinemas.

Last week we brought you the news that a new Mortal Kombat film is due to start shooting later this year, with James Wan producing the film while Simon McQuoid directs, and now we know that it's scheduled to release in 2021.

This news comes to us from Variety, and Warner Bros. clarified that it's actually due on March 5 that year.

We don't know much else other than the fact filming will take place in Australia, but at least we only have less than two years to wait before we can see some more fatalities on the big screen, similar to the 1995 film.

What do you want to see from this film?
