Mortal Kombat 11's cover art has been revealed

As opposed to Mortal Kombat X, this is a lot brighter, and the image should keep us going for next week's gameplay reveal.

When The Game Awards rolled around last year we were treated with the big announcement of Mortal Kombat 11, getting only a trailer to quench our thirst for more gory fighting, and while we wait for gameplay to land next week, at least we have the cover art to look at.

Netherrealm Studios' creative director Ed Boon revealed this on Twitter, as you can see below, and it's a bit yellow. Of course we can see Scorpion on there, and it seems a big change from Mortal Kombat X's dark style back in 2015. Maybe the developer could provide matching alternatives in different colors with Sub-Zero, Reptile, and other characters?

Mortal Kombat 11 is currently dated for April 23 and will be released for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. Are you impressed with the cover?

REVIEW. Written by Ricardo C. Esteves

"Mortal Kombat 11 could have been superb, but some of the design decisions Netherrealm has made are regrettable."
