We've said it before, and we'll say it again: PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds won't stop selling for a long time. Now we have further proof of that, as last night Microsoft revealed that the early access game has passed eight million copies sold. You might remember that SteamSpy claimed that it passed 7 million copies sold four days ago, but this obviously wasn't updated numbers. Back then, the folks at Bluehole Studio said that SteamSpy's statistics were lower than the actual number, and now we know that it was by a significant amount.
The studio also reiterates that PUBG came very close to passing 700,000 concurrent players on Steam last week, as the game's record is 699,231 players right now, meaning that it has increased by more than 210,000 players since the end of July. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive can't be too comfortable with its 850,485 player record any more, then.
How much do you predict it'll sell before it leaves early access?
