More patents uncovered for Poké Ball Plus controller

These were available with Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee last year, acting as a controller and mobile Pokémon storage.

When Pokémon Let's Go Eevee and Pikachu were released last year, they came with an optional Poké Ball Plus accessory that players could spend extra on to act as another controller and take Pokémon with them as they walked around the real world, and something similar may well be on the way, if a recent patent is to be believed.

As reported by Nintendo Life, Japanese Nintendo has uncovered five controller patents linked to the Poké Ball Plus, arranging components in the shape of a sphere, as you'd expect.

This might not indicate anything new, but it's interesting to see that Nintendo is still thinking about the Poké Ball Plus, even if it is just to make sure that the design is legally protected.
