Since the game's launch on June 27tdeveloper Rebellion have steadily delivered free content updates to Sniper Elite 3. Needless to say, it's an initiative the fans are in favour of, and today a fresh batch of free goodies is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 4:

"Yet again we wanted to say how grateful we were to the fans for supporting Sniper Elite 3 and have been putting together as much free content as possible to say a big thank you," senior producer Jean-Baptiste Bolcato wrote yesterday on the PlayStation Blog. "Today, in the US, and tomorrow in Europe, we will be launching our next bundle of free content on PlayStation 4, and it's a big one!"

To summarise "a big one" makes the basis for the following list:

• A new Shooting Rage single player mode, where you can practice your skill with the rifle, pistol and SMG.

• A new Overwatch co-op mission called Twilight Strike, where you're tasked to retake something called Tobruk (a base of a town perhaps?) under cover of darkness.

• Three new competitive multiplayer maps called Fracture, Outpost Canyon and Night Watch, introducing the classic mode "capture the flag" to the game.

As far as free updates go, it really is a rather big one! And if you're an Xbox One owner the same update is due "within the next week".

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"While the campaign is shorter than before, Rebellion has done a decent job of fleshing out the game as a whole."
