We caught up with Rock Pocket Games' Natascha Röösli at the Nordic Game conference to learn more about their upcoming Lovecraft-inspired psychological horror game Moons of Madness.

"The really cool thing about it is that it's a horror game in space, but it's not sci-fi", says Röösli. "It's kind of like hard science. It's set in the very near future."

"It is kind of like a mix [of a lot of interaction and a walking simulator], so there's a lot of free space that you can explore. You can just walk around, you can explore the base station or the environment to a certain degree. But there's also a lot of interaction, kind of like the old school adventure type things. You have to combine items, there are puzzles, you have to find items, you have to understand how something works for example, and which part is missing or how do you power that up and things like that."

We also asked Röösli about the status of Oliver & Spike (now Olly & Spike):

"We would love to be able to tell something about that. Or to have some progress on that. We renamed it Olly & Spike because we actually changed the main character to a girl. And that was because we were working on that game with a big publisher. Also hardware producer. And they kind of cancelled all their third party projects at the same time."

"So, unfortunately, even though we kind of got the IP back and everything, we're still kind of tied to them a little bit. We're still looking for a partner, though. We're still very interested in taking it to the market."
