Monster Hunter: World 3.0 update gets a trailer
The patch notes are here too.
The second free update is coming to Capcom's Monster Hunter: World on Thursday, requiring 1.2GB of free space to upgrade to the PS4 version 3.00 and to the Xbox One version 3.0.0.0 (increasing to 5.2GB for those who have never downloaded any extra content).
The update includes a new monster and area, not to mention the usual bug fixes and quality of life improvements. The video below shows the new creature - Kulve Taroth - who is "an elder dragon that protects itself with a glittering coat of metal. Its ecology and coat differ with each sighting, thus requiring more thorough investigation," according to Capcom.
The hunters who take it down will get materials to make three different high-rank equipments for themselves and the palico, but to find the new creature you'll need to go to The Caverns of El Dorado, a new network of caverns influenced by the Everstream that are full of minerals.
The update also brings dozens of changes and additions to improve the camera, menus, text, HUD, and other things, not to mention a few bug fixes, all of which you can see in the patch notes.
Will you be taking Kulve Taroth on?
