When Nintendo announced Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D earlier this year nothing was said of who the developer was. Obviously the original was developed at Retro Studios, and fans were naturally hoping they were taking care of the 3DS version too. However, it now appears that Pilotwings Resort developers Monster Games are handling development duties.

The Australian Ratings Board was responsible for revealing the developer.

In addition to Pilotwings Resort Monster Games have also developed Excitebike: World Rally and Excite Truck for Wii.
