Big Blue Bubble has been pretty busy recently with their mobile title My Singing Monsters, and when we talked to Damir Slogar from the studio at Gamelab 2018, we asked about what makes a good mobile game that stands out, which he thinks has to do with originality.

"Well you absolutely have to do something that no-one did before," Slogar said. "Sometimes you might be too early for that - we've had games in the past that have been very, very successful as far as the reception of the audience, maybe not commercially, but every time we've had the big hit it's something that's not been done before."

My Singing Monsters, if you didn't know, is a game that requires you to collect monsters who sing, but the more you collect the more of the song is created, and you can customise all of these on the island you control. It's safe to say this is something that wasn't done before, then.
