Miyamoto talks about Nintendo competing with Disney

Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto briefly spoke out about Nintendo's inability to seriously challenge Disney, the multi-industry powerhouse.

Nintendo and it's mascot Mario are very popular and well-known in the video game world, but still, neither Nintendo nor Mario are as big as Disney. Now the creator of Mario, Shigeru Miyamoto, has explained to Nikkei Asian, why Nintendo is not, and may never be, as big as Disney.

"Many parents want to keep their children from playing video games. But these same parents have no problem allowing them to watch Disney movies. --- We cannot seriously challenge [Disney] unless parents start feeling comfortable about their children playing Nintendo."
